Character of the Day

Yè. Fall a.k.a. autumn approaches. We recognize this here. So we present this character, translated as leaf, leaf-like object, page, or part of a historical period. The leaves will soon be changing color. You want to be able to express that in Chinese, don’t you? Combinations involving this character are few. Check them out.

茶叶 – cháyè means tea leaf
落叶 – luòyè means to shed leaves
叶子 – yèzi means leaf

There you go. I have to change the colors on the page now. Wish me luck.
