New York Beginnings

Hollaback atcha :)

Just beginning this new blog is quite exciting...and to be sharing it with my buddy Aaron is just fantabulous! I hope that it will be an ongoing project that we will be able to keep up with even though our lives evolve. Since our interests really run the gamut we will be focusing much on our loves: food, movies, books, music, travel and will include random musings that we have.

Well, I am off to the library. The last book I read was "Like Water for Chocolate." Really good and quite fantastical! At some points I thought "gee, this is kinda weird," but if you run along with it, it is just a really feel good story. I like how the chapters are divided by month and each month has a recipe that is the center for the chapter. Since I don't really cook, I guess I will leave it up to Aaron to try the recipes! I would have rather the ending be different because I felt like Tita kept hitting the same wall, but I guess the moral of the story is that what is meant to be will be.

As for movies, I saw Red Eye on Friday and I thought it was ok. Perhaps I really expected a lot because I really love Rachel MacAdams and Cillian Murphy but I thought it was quite a letdown. Red Eye was not scary but rather funny. I also liked the fact that Lisa (Rachel) kept kicking Jack's (Cillian) ass. I thought Scream was much better though. A rental for sure.

Aaron and I have been trying to read 100 Years of Solitude. I have yet to get the book. ;)

Ooh...Rock Star: INXS is on tomorrow. Every week it gets better and better. I really hope that Mig wins. I kinda like Marty too. And guess what? They all have blogs too!!

Ps Damn Aaron for getting the pageant winner right. poo...,

Oh yeah. Contestant number 8 (Tracy Yip) was victorious, of course. My taste in Cantonese women is quite refined.
